AVU students helping children from Timis county

The “Help us help them “campaign by future social workers graduating from The Faculty of Educational Sciences, Psychology and Social Work, has reached Timis county.

Coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Alina-Maria Breaz, students have conducted a charitable activity for the DGASPC Timis Homeless Mothers and Children Centre, donating clothing and toiletry items in addition to toys.

The event also provided the opportunity to analyse the centre`s operating conditions, being a real occasion for getting familiarised with field related issues entailed by the social worker`s job description. A new institutional partnership ensued between AVU and DGASPC Timiș, one that promises future collaborations in the fields of volunteering and social work.
